Why this page exists
Technal builds and operates AI systems for its clients, including assistants that answer customer messages. Article 50 of the EU AI Act, and plain honesty, require us to tell people when they are interacting with an AI system. This page explains what we do.
When you are talking to an AI
An assistant we build introduces itself as an automated assistant at the start of a conversation. If you ask whether you are talking to a person, it answers truthfully. You can ask for a human at any time and the conversation is passed to the client's staff.
What the assistant does not do
It does not make decisions with legal effect on you. It does not perform emotion recognition or biometric identification. It does not use your messages to train models. Anything with a binding effect, such as a quote or a contract, is confirmed by a person.
